Dejay Medical & Scientific Pty Ltd was established in June 1986, and is an Australian owned and operated company. The company began by sourcing and securing hard-to-get products in the medical industry and has slowly developed to include both the medical division and the rehabilitation side of the business.
The medical division has diversified over the years, and Dejay Medical still holds many standing orders with major hospitals, all over the country. Specialty products have been added in some areas, and our experienced staff lead the way in their knowledge of surgical instruments and medical products.
The rehab side of the business developed when it was realised that equipment levels for children in need, were not as they should be in regards to range and suitability. Dejay entered into a worldwide search for appropriate equipment. Alliances were formed with a number of international manufacturers, and as business developed, exclusive agencies were established.
As the equipment demands were met and Dejay Kids Stuff moved into seating, standing, walking, toileting, bathing, and transport, the need to employ therapy staff became apparent. To ensure that the level of product knowledge, insight into client conditions, and suitability of equipment remained at the highest level possible, Dejay invited an occupational therapist to join the ranks. Today Dejay comprises an experienced team from strong backgrounds in therapy, wheelchair technicians, and power chair specialists who can turn a client’s equipment needs into a reality. The technicians can adapt seating to each individual’s needs using either off the shelf products or custom fabrications.
Dejay Sport was formed to address the needs of our adolescent and adult population. Dejay Sport has enjoyed steady growth in the manufacture of sports chairs, and more recently power chairs. Add to this our wide range of standers, dynamic exercisers, wheels, walkers, cushions, backs, belts and harnesses, and Dejay Sport can offer a complete range for the adult and adolescent markets.
